The Oxford Bike Bell Orchestra
Cyclist of Oxford, don't you realise you're riding around our city on a musical instrument?
The Oxford Bicycle Bell Orchestra was a project aimed at exploring the idea of bringing the cyclists of Oxford together to create music with their bicycle bells but also any other components that can make a noise.
With the help of Oxford composer Danielle Ballantine we created a piece of music and performed it at the 2009 Cycle Oxford Festival.
The project is now exploring a more improvised approach to creating music from bike parts.
